I’m trying to lose weight, so I’m limiting myself to one beer.
But that one beer is the size of two and has 10% ABV.
It’s good. Smooth despite its strength.

One kind of beer? Or just one beer?

Same here, had a Maine Brew Co/Heavy Seas collab on my lunch. Tasty, but the Maine stuff by itself is better.

Just this one beer. But it’s the equivalent of 4-5 regular beers.

I might go the same route you did. I have this waiting for me at home...

My strategy is to cut down on meal sizes, not beer intake.

It’s from Greenbush in western Michigan. 14.5% abv black IPA. 150+ IBUs on the hop scale. To say it’s bitter is a massive understatement.

Sounds good. I like strong IPAs.

My usual strategy is a little of both, combined with riding my bike around the city I live in, but it hasn’t been nice for more than two days in a row since, like, March, so I haven’t been riding as much as I’d like.

The only thing I’ve had that comes close to its bitterness is Dogfish Head’s 120min IPA.

I haven’t had the 120 yet. The 90 is good, and I’ve had quite a few of their other brews, but the 120 still eludes me. My local craft beer store doesn’t sell it.
The only issue I run into with beers above ~11% ABV is that the alcohol taste starts to drown out everything else. Dogfish Head’s Fort (20% ABV/40 proof) was like that.

They just released it recently. It’s 100% worth searching around for it.
